4 Way street was started in T.O. in 1986-87 as a concept by Jim Cummins (1962-1994), John Law and Andy Mason. It was to be branded "The Ultimate Tribute to CSN&Y", featured their three vocals and the lead guitar genius that is Johnny Lightning. They relocated in Ottawa shortly there after, within a year they were a six-piece band, playing around the Ottawa Valley and eventually Ontario and other parts of Canada. Sean Harris joined the band after John's permanent departure in 1995. The longest stay of any drummer in the band was Don Nafe, who played with them from fall 89 to 93. The band re-united Nov. '05 to celebrate with Don Nafe 35 years as a drummer for his birthday. Needless to say, just about everyone, including old fans, got the 'bug' for 4 Way Street to play again and a couple hasty shows were arranged. In 2007, Sue Clark and a couple members talked about a REUNION and WABAFEST was born...
Presently, the core members of 4 Way Street are:
Pierre Robert Gravelle - acoustic and electric guitars, bass, vocals.
Sean Harris - electric and acoustic guitars, vocals.
Andy Mason - acoustic and electric guitars, vocals, percussion.
Don C. Nafe - drums.
Johnny "Lightning" Ransom - lead guitar. Other Members:
Doreena Best - sub. bass
Al Willmore - Keyboards, some vocals
Anyone Interested in booking 4 Way Street, contact Andy Mason, Don Nafe or Sean Harris. |

With strong vocals and acoustic sound, we play interesting covers and our own "home grown" music. We've played many festivals and even hosted a few ourselves over the years. We played at the Rainbow every Tuesday for two years running. We are seasoned campers / partiers and helpful people to have around. Check out our website at nobudsforbob.com |

We are in it for the love of music. We get together every week and have fun creating originals and playing choice cuts of AAA rock with as much conviction as we can muster. Where we really shine is in front of an enthusiastic crowd. We are serious about having as much fun playing music as possible and transferring that vibe to our audience. We are a party rockband with a ton of songs available in our ever changing setlist. We still play every week at our normal stage volumes so that we keep our tunes tight and the sound dynamic. Its our goal to rock you, make you sing along and dance, and occasionally hit you with some heavier chunky rock or a slow-it-down-bum-grabber for good measure.
Thing Kings:
Michael Hemish: Lead Guitar, Vocals
Rick Goldsmith: Lead Vocals, Guitar
Kevin McDonald: Bass, Vocals
Carl McDonald: Drums, Vocals

I am a BIG fan of travelling, learning about other cultures, and passing this knowledge on to others in the form of shortstory/journalism. Playing music opens a lot of doors for me, as people warm up to me quite fast, and want to tell me their stories, as well as show me their favorite places. This has happened throughout the World, and only makes me want to travel more! I feel really at home on a stage. I am generally a shy person, but am able to break out on stage and really be me. I love to sing and perform! I enjoy playing covers, but it is extremely fun to play my own stuff and have people ask me ''Who wrote that song?''. For me this is the ultimate compliment!!
Travelling has inspired most, if not ALL of my songs, with references to Australia, North America and Asia, as well as lyrics in 5 different languages. It is nice to be able to bring this sound back home to share with people here in Canada! |

"Rocket Rached and Fat City 8" is a 9-piece band consisting of a kick ass horn section, guitar, keyboard, killer rhythm section and a lead Blues man that brings everyone to the dance floor on the first song. This band is comprised of Juno award winners that have played with some of the best blues musicians in the world. The band is an institution!
"Rocket Rached and Fat City 8" have been together since 1995 and toured across the country performing at large dance halls to hay barn parties. Numerous nights have seen famous guests sitting in such as: Jeff Healey, Otis Grand, and good pals, Roomful of Blues! Career highlights were opening for Blues legends Duke Robillard, Junior Wells and Ray Charles.
"Rocket Rached", the front man for Fat City 8, is described as a classic blues shouter. Who harkens back to the days of Jimmy Witherspoon and Big Joe Turner. The "Rocket" is a front-man extraordinaire without equal, who erupts with energy once on stage. His style is both infectious and entertaining, bringing the band and everyone in the room to another level.
The Rocket-with his "beat up" tuba and extraordinary band- has traveled across the country making new friends, all the while shoutin' the blues!
